92xj
Tim called and left a message but my phone is not working real well and I dont have a land line to call my phone to check the messages. Been in the duck blind the past 3 days and I believe it got a little wet. Someone that has his number should give him a call. I think today is his last day to hunt and I have dropped the ball with the phone trying to die on me. Sorry.

dbHunterNY
Just got off the phone with Tim. He was able to have a rifle with him, but CVA was a sponsor. He toted his CVA Optima to and from Canada is it was dead on. He had four bucks coming in, single file. He missed at 132 yards and then when checking his gun the following morning found out it was off. He got it dialed back in, but nothing came into range. They had snow last night and saw 10 deer. A good sit but less than what they were seeing. By then the deer were onto them. Previous sits made for great hunting though, seeing typically 40 deer a night. They're headed back to civilization now, empty handed. Tim will be back at again soon though. In a matter of weeks he'll be headed to Illinois with forum member John Clough to chase more monster whitetails. He's toting the CVA again, but will not be taking any chances. He'll have a backup shotgun as well, just in case.
stevebeilgard
well, tim and steve each got a shot. that's better than some hunts i've been on. way to go, guys, and better luck on the next hunt. i think this is why we call it hunting, and not shooting.
