hoosierhunter
I have several pictures of him. I think I have a decent handle on a minimum score, but I want to hear what everyone else thinks. Everything you see is antler. Also I want to know what you think he would go as a straight 8. brad dryden
I would say low-mid 130s. His right side is funky and just dosnt have really any tines at all. But I wouldnt hesitate on taking him.
Ambuscher
Brad is right, low 130s.
Ohiobucks
As a typical 8, with his right side nothing like his left, score would be very, very low. Non-typical, maybe 130 or so. I'd shoot him in a heart beat though.
Ravin R10 man
135 straight 8 148 with all the junk shoot him and let us know
fly
Typical net score would be the wrong call on this deer. I'd guess his non-typical gross score would be in the mid 140's.
wtnhunt
That left side is real nice. Think as a straight 8 IF he was matched up he would go in the upper 130's maybe even into the low 140's, the way he is only around 130. dbHunterNY
high 130's non-typical... around a 100 typical
hoosierhunter
Here's some help. If his right matched his left he would gross over 160.

Hope you kill him so you can get a score from that left side.

hoosierhunter
Hope you kill him so you can get a score from that left side.My buddy killed him last night. We just recovered him. One base appears to be around 10 inches. 3 tines over 12 inches and one over 10. His 8 point side is unreal!

Leo
Real challenging rack to score. It looks like two possible main beams on his right antler. One chosen as the primary main beam versus the other could change the score quite a bit. With two main beams you have two possible spread credits. Then you can't add more than the length of the longest main beam as a spread credit. This will also affect your circumference measurements on that side. Would I shoot him? Heck yeah! Awesome deer. But his score could vary a lot based on the opinions of the scorer. On racks like this, the current scoring methods don't do a very good job indicating how nice a deer this is. Not disagreeing with you, but I have seen a bigger typical 8 point score. My uncle buck is much wider and taller than this one and went gross 182, net 176. Yeah Kyle I have seen a mount of an 8 that went over 160 too, but I think it was a bit bigger than the one hoosier posted. Hope he posts some daylight pics. abrown
Dang, he must be cross bred between an elk! LOL, I have a friend that has a 390 inch bull elk, he has 14 inch bases, and this buck is only 4 inches off? I've seen a 160+ inch 8, that buck is not near the same size. He's an awesome buck, and I'd shoot him, but 160, I can't see it.

Right side was 65 0/8ths although we only gave two mass measurements(due to no real g2 point) which I've found to be incorrect. Once other two get added in for right side he's over 172 inches gross. I'll post the kill pics tonight.

mikewink
Either your buddy is a midget or that is one heck of a deer. The trail cam pics do not do that buck any justice! Great looking deer! Congrats to your buddy!
The_Kat
That buck looks 3 times the size he did in the trail cam picture.
