Shaun_300
Yesterday my buddy and I went up to the hunt camp to make sure the rifles were sighted in for next weekend, rifle season opens tomorrow but we go up next week for the whole week. Fired the .300 WSM and .25-06 and both were right where they were last year. Then we headed to a small lake about 5 miles from the camp to see if we could find some partridge, no luck on the birds, but once we got to the lake we decided to take all the empty pop cans and water bottles in the back of the truck and fill them with water and have some fun with the shotguns. We'd each take turns throwing them in the air and see who could hit the target first. My buddy was using his Hatsun 12ga and I was using my Browning BPS deluxe 28ga with Remington #8 skeet shot. Man we had a blast, took a few shots to get the rust out of our systems but after that I was nailing almost every shot I took, love my little BPS, think we're going to take up skeet shooting in the spring. Pretty sure I'm going to start shopping for a 28ga reloader because shooting factory rounds would break the bank pretty quick! I paid $14.99 for skeet shot and $18 for bird shot! dbHunterNY
yea i bought a case of 250 rounds for some trap/skeet shooting, but have yet to break into it. it's fun shooting with others, but i think it'd be cool to setup a thrower working off a foot pedal or something. you could practice on your own when you have time in addition to with others.
