Tim Andrus
This last Live hunt was a tough one ! To get some what of cell service I had to drive 10 miles ugh which after hunting all day was a chore. I had a great 10 pt come in on the second nite at 132 yards and I shot high and right. Thought it was me flinching etc but after skipping the next morning hunt I found out that my gun was shooting a ft high and a ft to the side! Never had a chance to check my gun due to 30 mph winds and gust to 40mph for 2 days . Figured that since my gun had stayed on since I last flew to Manitoba that it was still on WRONG! valuable lessoned learned costed me a great buck! So in a week or so Im headed to Illinois to hunt with John Clough ( member here) and hope to put a smasher in the dirt.... at least we will have cell service lol! talk to you soon! Rhino
I know what you mean Tim...no need to apologize. Seems like most places I hunt have bad cell phone service, especially when I'm hunting the low ground. Sorry to hear about the gun issue...I know how missing a bigun hurts! Put a hole in a bigun in Illinois!
dbHunterNY
everyone misses. good thing about your miss is the gun was off and it wasn't you. also, it was a clean miss. talking with you on the phone about checking the CVA when you get there and then bring your T/C as a last resort backup sounds like you should be good to go. Good luck with John in IL!
Leo
The same applies to bows that have ridden in the belly of a plane for awhile. I've had both rifles and archery equipment arrive at the hunting location with the sights needing adjustment. You'd think bows are pretty much immune. For the most part they are but stuff still can happen when someone tosses that case around. I agree with Rhino, Cell phone coverage is an undependable thing in hunting country.
