wtnhunt
Don't think that is a bobcat. Got tons of pics of bobcats here and all of them have more fur on their neck and heads and they usually don't look that slinky either. Rhino
Looks like a house cat to me.
Tominator
Regular ol' housecat I think. Although, based on the size of that palmetto, it's a big house cat. Probably a tom.
Texan_Til_I_Die
I can't see any ear tufts, so I don't think it's a bobcat. Back end looks relatively small, coloration looks a bit mottled and there's not a huge tail waving around, so it doesn't look like a cougar. I'm going with housecat. mikewink
I'm thinking a bobcat, looks like a dorsal stripe down it's back and barring on it's legs. Could be a highbred bobcat/house cat mix. Think they are called a pixiebob.
Ravin R10 man
Definately NOT a Bobcat..hard to tell how big this thing is..but it very well could be just a big domestic kitty cat..if not...it's a Mt Lion Now that I put my glasses on I see a collar around it's neck..lol Edited November 10, 2011 by Mathews XT Man
fly
I think it's a lion (or tiger). Probably escaped from a zoo.

Jeramie
If it is a truly wild cat I would go with Bobcat. Not all of them have the excessive hair like bobcats are typically known for. I have one mounted in my house and excessive hair is minimal. It is also a very tall/ long cat. However, there is also a lot of mixed breeding and people own mixed breed cats. They are breeding wild breed cats to domesticated cats. The savannah is one for instance. The cats can weigh well over 20lbs and are all tall as dogs. Im not saying someone let their expensive breed out but its very possible that one bred a cat in a neighborhood and the genes carried on. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Savannah_(cat) Also, keep in mind that a bobcat can breed a domesticated cat. They typically dont because of territory issues but it is genetically possible. There is a chance that a bobcat bred a shorthair cat and youre seeing the offspring.
