wtnhunt
Having a tough time deciding if this is the same deer. I saw this buck and had him in my crosshairs on our rifle opener last year and figured he was nearly 18 inches, but thought he was only 2.5 years old and so I passed him up. No doubt this deer from this year is older. Brows are throwing me off, looks like they are higher up the antler in the previous year, but maybe it is just a difference in the flash and the camera angle or mass difference making them look closer? Same deer a year later or no?
Rhino
William...I think they're 2 different bucks.
dbHunterNY
yea not much tells me they're the same deer other than similar rack characteristics, but still i say no.

Rack characteristics is what I am going on. Same daddy but the first one looks bigger than the second to me or darn close. Have more pics of the second one I probably should load, he is wider than that pic looks. Maybe they were brothers. Agree same genetics, whether it be the doe or daddy or both. Rhino
I got buck pics of 2 with very similar looks to their racks last year and this year in the same general area too William. I'm sure they are 2 different bucks. If not he went down hill and lost a lot of weight over what he had last year. Not much doubt in my mind it's the same gene pool but 2 different bucks.
