Travis Haynie
I just returned from Iraq, getting out of the Army and going to college. Wanting to spend some deployment money to replace my old Winchester Ranger. I've narrowed it down between the Browning Maxus and Benelli Super Vinci. Both feel pretty good on my shoulder but I have yet to fire either. I can only buy one gun so it will be used for geese, ducks and turkey. The reviews I have read are pretty split down the middle. Would love some input. Thanks all Roll Tide
dbHunterNY
i have a Benelli shotgun but don't have a Browning (just rifles). i just voted for the Benelli but really the Maxus is an awesome gun too. I mean everything is split down the middle like you said. both will come with shims and stuff to adjust fit. the browning has a lengthened forcing cone, but the bores are different between the two guns. unless you know the exact specs of the tapers there's no way to tell which is has a better transition and will pattern better. you could say that the Benelli inertia driven system kicks a little harder than gas, but with the Comfortech stock it makes that a wash too. I've got both Browning and Benelli firearms and I love them all. both companies build firearms to last. i think you can't go wrong with either purchase. RangerClay
I have 3 Brownings now and they all have outstanding quality, fit, and finish. This question would be a no-brainer for me.
ckrich
Maxus gets my vote. I absolutely hate the way the Vinci looks, and it just doesn't feel right. Two of my hunting partners each have a Maxus, and after shooting them I am convinced that I "need" one. Either way, both guns are quality firearms and you couldn't go wrong whichever you choose. dogdoc
Benelli hands down. I shoot the M2 but buddy shoots the Vinci. Two of my duck hunting buddies traded their brownings due to jamming in very cold weather for benellis. I will be a Benelli man for life after owning the M2
Shaun_300
Think I'd pick the Browning, I own a BPS and a BLR rifle, awesome quality guns, neither one has let me down yet!
Tominator
I have the Montefeltro, and love it. I'd go with the Benelli. I've put thousands of rounds through it, and it's jammed twice. Once because I used the wrong oil on it, and once because I was sitting in zero degree weather for a couple hours.
Strut10
I voted Maxus. Basically the same gun as the SX3 Winchester with a little more gingerbread. How can you go wrong ?????? Plus, at about $450 less than the Benelli, less recoil and faster cycling, it's a no-brainer for me. Besides...........those Vinci's are just SOOOOOO freakin' UGLY !!!!!!!!!!
