A few of my first birds

I thought I would share some pics of a few of the birds I mounted in school at the PA Institute of Taxidermy. These were my first mount ever and I know they are FAR from perfect, I really am not satisfied with any of them, none of the birds in the pics are finished. I am mounting the feeding hen mallard and the standing drake together in a cornfield scene with another drake getting ready to land. The turkey is almost done now, I touched up the head after I took the pic and toned down the white on the snood. I think the flying hen pheasant was my best mount of them all, I also mounted a male pheasant and it was my first ever mount which turned out horrible. All my birds were graded today and I got an A on all of them except the rooster, got an 87% on it.. sorry for the bad pics I took them on my phone, as I do the finish work I will get better pics and of the cornfield scene when I finish it. So go ahead and pick them apart because I know they aren't good. I love the school its going great! Mammals are the next course and then we do fish.
