Hardwood_HD
I thought I would share some pics of a few of the birds I mounted in school at the PA Institute of Taxidermy. These were my first mount ever and I know they are FAR from perfect, I really am not satisfied with any of them, none of the birds in the pics are finished. I am mounting the feeding hen mallard and the standing drake together in a cornfield scene with another drake getting ready to land. The turkey is almost done now, I touched up the head after I took the pic and toned down the white on the snood. I think the flying hen pheasant was my best mount of them all, I also mounted a male pheasant and it was my first ever mount which turned out horrible. All my birds were graded today and I got an A on all of them except the rooster, got an 87% on it.. sorry for the bad pics I took them on my phone, as I do the finish work I will get better pics and of the cornfield scene when I finish it. So go ahead and pick them apart because I know they aren't good. I love the school its going great! Mammals are the next course and then we do fish. Shaun_300
Those look great man! Don't know why you wouldn't be satisfied with them. The duck in the first pic looks like it's alive, great job on all of them!

MUDRUNNER
Man, they look pretty good to me! From what I understand turkey's are one of the tougher animals to mount, and he looks great.
