muggs
So, Urban Meyer has been pulled from annoucing THE Ohio State vs. Michigan game. The writing is on the wall, the best football mind is most likely just a few short weeks anyway from signing a contract to coach the Buckeyes. That noise you just heard was Muggsy getting so excited it was borderline creepy. Braxton Miller in Meyer's system is going to be scary for the opposition. They have the youngest defense I can remember seeing, probably ever. Ryan Shazier, Bradley Roby, Christian Bryant (this kid's awesome - Muggsy's favorite Buckeye for those scoring at home), Johnathen Hankins...they'll all be in the NFL some day and Shazier is a freshman, the rest are sophomores. After this "scandal" it's looking like the NCAA just did OSU the biggest favor they could have. So, thank you, you hypocritical dbags...thank you very much. You heard it hear first boys, THE Ohio State Buckeyes, 2013 NCAA Champions. So, all you Billy Bobs and Fred Toms out there, enjoy the SEC success while it lasts. That's funny right there... Just glad we got to Urban before the "HappY" valley dbags did.
muggs
OSU is center-cut filet to the Penn State chopped liver. I don't think there's anyway Meyer would even consider taking on that job after those creepy old men destroyed it. That said, I'm sure he could start a successful 'soap-on-a-rope' side business if he did. Hey-ooooooooooooo!!!! muggs
Sources from inside OSU are saying it's a 7-year deal with aprpox. 40 million. dude is worth every penny. It started with Bowling Green U in western Ohio, he built Utah up from the nothing, then won two titles with the Gators. If he can win two titles at some fly by night dump like Florida, sky is the limit at a traditional power like OSU.
craig mack
Didnt you at one time say the spread couldnt work in the Big 10? Not saying Urban isnt a good coach because he is and I wish he wouldve stayed in the commentators booth. But he does run a spread offense. Btw, it was nice to add on to our winning record against your dirty program. Your guys have more ink than the NBA!!!
Gator
Dump??? 41-14 ring a bell? Sounds like jealousy to me. As for Meyer, guess he got tired of the "family" life, and his so called "health" issues. OSU is a storied program allright. Two words, Terrel Pryor........ nuff said. The_Kat
Would be funny to see if the bowl projections come true. FLA vs OSU in Tempe, AZ is one prediction I saw.
muggs
Yeah, they're saying the Buckeyes will play the Gators. Meyer won't be coaching that game though. They're letting Fickle ride out the year, hopefully so Urban can personally visit some of this big time recruits and have them come over to THE best athletic program in the nation. I'm not going to knit-pick this hire, but the Buckeyes have some big running backs in Carlos Hyde and now with Brionte Dunn committed. These are 220 lbs. backs with good speed...NFL style backs if you will. Meyer has never had a 1,000 running back...and guys like Percy Harvin, Jeff Demps, and Chris Rainey are all 5'10" and 180 lbs. I hope he uses these big backs correctly. If me wants to mix in the smaller speed burners he recruits that's fine too, but I don't want to see Dunn de-commint and Hyde transfer. As much as I hate to admit it but I agree with ya. I think Urban will do nothing but improve the Buckeyes football program. He's had to work his butt off on recruiting at most of his stops and now, the program does the recruiting for him. Scary if you ask me. Long time, buddy. Yeah, the Buckeyes were lucky to have a guy like Meyer available. Braxton Miller was only the third true freshman to start of the Buckeyes. He needs to work on his accuracy, but they've never had a QB that has his big play ability. He already owns the longest TD run by a QB in OSU history. In Meyer's system, he should be a Heisman hopeful by 2013 if not next year. OSU already has a good pipeline into Florida's talent base, that is obviously going to improve ten fold. I also heard he's going to hire the ex-Minnesota head coach. I don't remember the guy's name, but he supposedly is a big time Texas recruiter. Texas, Florida, and Ohio and three of the top four high school football states as far as talent goes... The future looks bright. I'm obviously pumped. I just hope he keeps the program clean. The fallout of the Tressel things has been embarrassing. They need a guy who runs a clean program, unfortunately, Meyer really hasn't done that. So...hopefully he has changed. They need a guy who runs a clean program, unfortunately, Meyer really hasn't done that. So...hopefully he has changed. Clean programs don't win championships. Clean championships are won by thugs who could give a crap about academics because they know their meal ticket isn't in a piece of paper that says they sat in class for 4 years. muggs
Tim Brewster I think it was. Yeah, this is true. But, if OSU has more violations during Meyer's first year the NCAA is going to bring down the hammer.

As a Penn State fan I root for my team, but to refer to the other team as "dbags"? I may not root for Ohio State, however, they are a great school and I would never refer to them as "dbags". (hate?) good luck to all the dog
