Bryan
Thinking about upgrading, to a pse(stinger), but there are so many to choose from, is this a good choice, rth=$
dbHunterNY
it'll definitely do the job. i'd personally look at some bow shops for newer used bows now, with new 2012 models hanging some are looking to upgrade. more so will be the case in the late winter. you'll get more performance for the money. also a shop more than likely won't sell you a used bow with something wrong with it. also IF YOU'RE LEFT HANDED, you may want to check out Cabelas. right now for example they've got a ready to shoot Bowmadness package for $549. Much better bow in the PSE line. you've got some time before next year starts approaching to shop around. for now i'd finish out the season if applicapable with what you've got. WNY_Whitetailer
Dbhunter provided sound advice. I purchased my Pearson Legend that way. I saved a few bucks and picked up a quality bow to boot.
Bryan
Thanks fellas, didn't think of that, just a little excited to get a new bow, but now I'll look around
deer slayer
I looked into a stinger but my local pro shop suggested a new 2011 martin exile and I love it!! 40 yards out I keep all my arrows in a 2inch group no lie it's by far the best bow I have ever shot. I got it for 400 bucks but that's with trade-in with my old pse bruin but it's all setup for me and hunt ready. But that's just me, I would suggest shooting a bunch of bows in your price range and picking the one that feels the best to you. Hope this helps! Shawn
I bought a brand new stinger package in 09. I picked it up for 400 with everything on it except a stabilizer and off course arrows. I love it. Personally too I only hunt whitetails and its more than enough for them. Its producing 296 fps with goldtip xt 5575 and a 100 gr head at 70lbs with a 29 in draw. Groups great out to 40 yards. Never practiced further with it. IMHO just a great bow for the price. DropTine49
The Bear Archery Legion and Encounter both are priced under $500 and are also great bows. If you look around you can find the 2011 strike and charge models a little cheaper as well.
jcot2773
Ok many different options here. DB has given sound advice... I am a little partial but i like the diamond line up really well. Performance on a budget to me. However it all depends on what one wants out of a bow. Shawn, I would suggest looking at a .350 or .340 spine arrow the 5575 is a .400 and weak for that set up. RangerClay
There will be plenty bows on sale after Christmas, especially models that will no longer be made. Last year Gander Mountain had some Diamond bows marked down $200.
HOYTnMUZZYboy
There are alot of good bows out there. Can't really say anything bad about most bows now days. All I will say is that, don't go buy one because someone else has one. Make sure it feels like apart of you when your shooting it. Shoot as many as you can b4 you make a final choice, you will be alot happier in the long run!
