wtnhunt
Maybe Ken or someone here will know if there is a burner/element that will fit the older masterbuilt smokers. I thought mine was bad, it quit heating so I contacted the company and the lady told me that the manufacturer of the element no longer distributes them to them. Thought just my luck, great. She did offer to upgrade my smoker to a newer model for a discounted cost, had it been around 2 years old they would have replaced it. I read about an upgrade to a higher wattage burner from the manufacturer, but guess that is not available anymore either. Anyhoo, I took the thing apart and discovered I got lucky and the terminal ends were burned off, element was still good, got a turkey going on it right now. I think I need to find a replacement though, from what I have read while trying to find a replacement online it looks like the element has been known to be an issue with masterbuilt and goes out with no warning but I have had no luck wiht finding a replacement part. We have a restaurant supply store about 40 minutes away, figure they would have to have something that would fit or work, what are the chances there is a cross reference or retro fit part that works for these things? Surely whoever made the burner made it for more than just masterbuilt.

wtnhunt
What are the dimensions of this element? Any pics of it?? I will have to probably take it partially back apart to get any pics of the element. May be able to measure it most of the way.
