redkneck
So my 2000 Z71 with 265k on the clock has never failed me. But this morning got up at the camp, went hunting, then went to get me and the kids some breakfast. That''s when the fun started. The truck had ran good to the stand (1mile or so) and back to the camp. Then went to the store, cranked it up and it stuttered bad all the way to the store and back (4 miles round trip). Barely ran at all, missed like crazy. Decided to go ahead and head home so I didnt get caught after dark, but she wont even pull a baby hill, barely cranks and sputters like it's out of gas (it's not!). My thoughts - fuel pump or bad gas - or so it acts like. Wife picks me up after an evening hunt and brings my scanner. P0327 P0332 P0420 P0430 1258 SO........ No doubt my cat needs replacing, just havent had time to do it. The 1258 was a new one on me.... could the thing just need coolant?!?!?!!??! Thanks as always in advance! jt
redkneck
Well put a gage on it and it makes 18psi. Far short of what i need. Manual says to shut off the return line to isolate the fuel press reg but all the guys at the parts houses give me a dumb look when i ask for a plug. Guess i will have to replace the pump.
