wtnhunt
Finally got this one back yesterday. Last years muzzleloader buck http://www.realtree.com/forums/deer-hunting/102568-short-hunt-smoked-one-mler.html. Took a little over a year, glad to finally get him back and hang him with a few of the others who once lived or roamed through the backyard. Did not get the broke tine on the right side or the main beam fixed. A bit surprising, the inside spread on the deer shrank a half inch? Could not decide whether we liked just the two(2009 rifle deer and the 2010 ml'er deer) or if it looks better along with the first deer I killed in the middle, any thoughts? Deer was 18 3/8 inside in the pic.

MUDRUNNER
He turned out nice! Good looking trophy wall William! For some reason, to me it looks better with just the two on the wall there. It may be because the other one has a plaque, and the two don't. It may be because the other one has a plaque, and the two don't. that's why i think your first deer goes in the middle. the other two, similar and without plaques, look good on the wall where you've got them. i say hang as much bone on the wall as you can. your house doesn't look like an overcrowded trophy room with the three. also with it being the first i say hang it. 92xj
All the mounts look great William. I love the look of the middle one. Got anymore pics of him? ps, you need some ducks cupped up above the deer in a group like they are landing....
redkneck
Really nice William, beautiful place with lots of room for more trophies too.
Flintlock1776
Nice mount & nice house! The shrinkage could be possible but perhaps just a slight mis-measurmnt when first down with all the excitement. I agree with you, don't 'fix' what came natural. Broken tine is part of the real world. Gives you plenty of 'what if's" chat around the campfire! Congrats!
Adjam5
Worth the wait William...They all look Great! It could be dangerous though...you have lots of room for many more .
Rhino
Looks good William...I like it when they are together up there. You'll have more too as the family takes their share of trophies too.
wtnhunt
Thanks everyone, pretty happy with the mount and think I am gonna leave those three on the wall where they are. The buck looks great, William! Love the elk antler and the flintlock. Really sets the wall off. We were lucky to pick up a couple elk sheds in Wyoming, thought they would make nice decorations for this house. Was not sure how to get the shed on the wall, the old gunrack I made in Jr. High school for my step dad seemed to work out fine. that's why i think your first deer goes in the middle. the other two, similar and without plaques, look good on the wall where you've got them. i say hang as much bone on the wall as you can. your house doesn't look like an overcrowded trophy room with the three. also with it being the first i say hang it. Christina's first deer I left the plaque on too, it is on a different wall. I took the plaques off of my other mounts which are not seen in the pics. Our Wyoming animals were without plaques as well. All the mounts look great William. I love the look of the middle one. Got anymore pics of him? ps, you need some ducks cupped up above the deer in a group like they are landing.... Yep Ben, have more pics of the mount from the deer in the middle, but I will have to find them. Unfortunately don't have any good field photos of that deer. That mount is from 1994, maybe one of these days I will better that deer. On the ducks, not so many ducks around this year, but man are we ever seeing the geese this year. Been seeing probably 100-150 geese fly over the house at tree top level just about every afternoon. Know nothing about waterfowling, but may have to get my stamp next season. LifeNRA
looks great william. looks even better with the others on the wall. The three together looks awesome! Make the herd! LOL! Man I hope my buck does not take a year! He is usually about 6 months max. But this one might be different, I hope not!
