pointing_dogs_rule
I just love college football and love to see two great teams play each other no matter who they may be. LSU vs. Alabama or Oklahoma State? Alabama is probably the better football team. I watched the first game between these two and it was quality football. I have always been of the thought if you played on time already and lost why do you deserve to play the same team once more? Oklahoma State is probably weaker then Alabama. I am not sure the contest would be close, however, I would love to see this match-up. Oklahoma State beat more ranked and top 10 opponents so why not give them a chance? If LSU was matched with Alabama I probably would not watch a re-match. What do you think? good luck to all the dog
MCH
I'm a little biased....but I think OSU made its case for the championship. I don't think Bama would just "roll" over em. In fact, if OSU were to play the same game they played last night agains OU, then they would beat Bama easily. Bottom line, OSU deserves to be in the championship game. Bama deserves to be in the championship game. I would absolutely love to see them play each other for the right, but that won't happen. So, I'm giving the nod to Bama. I know OSU had the tougher schedule and won more games against ranked teams, but its the one they didn't win that has me taking Bama over them. Could care less whether Bama won their own championship or not. They beat everyone on their schedule except the number one team in the country and then took them to overtime. Even though it could be a boring game, I think Bama deserves to play LSU.

mike
Would love to see a Iowa State/OSU bowl game, too!! Not 100% sure Iowa State would want to go another round with the Cowboys LOL. Might be some payback involved! ISU did play one of the toughest schedules this year and made bowl eligibility though. Should have beat Kansas State yesterday too. That being said I think OSU is still a contender and I would like to see them play for the title. Besides..... how great would it be for an Iowa State fan to be able to say they were the only team this year to beat the National Champs! lol
MCH
LOL. Just looked at the ESPN poll. Out of 200,000 votes, Alabama and Mississippi are the only states where Oklahoma State is not winning and Mississippi is 50/50. Hope the guys with the votes take heed to what the nation saying. MCH
Let OSU play offense and Bama play defense and we'll blow em out of the water!
Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
OK St. SHOULD be the team to go, but the nauseating love the media has for the SEC will prevent that from happening. Tominator
Bama presents the best chance to beat LSU. Good thing those two coaches learned how to coach in Ohio.
Gator
While the "system" is set to match the #1 and #2 teams to play each other, I would LOVE to see OSU play LSU, "the teacher against the student". But I also have alterior motives, but they don't involve any OSU fans here.
muggs
Kev, "OSU" means THE Ohio State University. Please just say Okie State or something. These are the two best teams in the country, so I think they got it right. I love watching LSU play defense.
The_Kat
Ok State got ripped. I had set my opinion that you can't lose to an unranked team and then still play for a NC. But after I saw the strength of schedule, quality wins, and other stat comparisons.....everyone can see that OSU shoulda went. A loss is a loss and they lost to a team they should have destroyed.....but keep in mind that that loss came on the heels of a terrible tragedy at home. Ok. State is the REAL OSU muggsy, so why don't you just say pryor....or something like that instead of OSU so we know your talking about Ohio State. Cleburne
LSU vs Alabama, should be another good game. Just hope it doesn't come down to field goals this time. ROLL TIDE!!
MCH
Kev, "OSU" means THE Ohio State University. Please just say Okie State or something. OSU will always be Oklahoma State. Better get used to it. Maybe Ohio State can start calling themselves The Big O?
muggs
haha if you're describing the euphoric state I'll be in when The Ohio State University wins their first of four consecutive National Championships, then I say it fits! MCH
I'm writing it down....you've already jinxed Greg Oden. You're in the process of jinxing poor Landry Jones. And now you're gonna jinx your Buckeyes, too!
michealkelvin89
Rite to say that oklahoma state is probably weaker then alabama.
muggs
First off, I want to personally thank michealkelvin for his contribution to the sports forum above. :1eye: You know what? I'm starting to change my tune on this subject a little bit. I don't think it's right to have a team that didn't even win its conference in the National Championship game. If LSU would have lost to Georgia, there would have been two teams that didn't win their conference in the title game...talk about a flawed system. Look, this SEC slurping has to stop. Alabama and LSU are great teams, no question, but outside of those two teams, the conference isn't that great. The problem is, ESPN as well as CBS have contracts with the SEC so we get it crammed down our thoughts and every hilljack south of the Mason-Dixon line has nothing else in their life so we gotta hear how great SEC football is. Oh yeah? How's Vandy doing? How about the downfall of Tennessee? Ole Miss is terrible, Florida fell to pieces. You got two teams SEC fans...that's it. Alabama is a great team, sure, but I would rather see two seperate conferences represented. I'd also like to see Okie States wide open pass attack against LSU's defense. That Okie St. loss to Iowa State was really a bad loss though. But it did come after a major tragedy and it was on the road. Would Okie St. beat LSU, I don't think so. But at least it would be a new matchup and I'm sure it would be more exciting than that 6-3 stinker Bama and LSU showed the nation a month back. I'd like to see Blackmon vs. Mathieu too.
