Shotgun buck down

Awesome Mike! If I ever buy another shotgun for deer it will be that very one you have. Love the look of the forest with the fog in the background. It makes for a challenging hunt, but as long as I know there aren't any trigger happy idiots in the woods I love hunting on days like that. Congratulations on your mature buck! My November 8-point had a busted left G-2 as well. Not sure if you're interested, but a taxidermist can match broken antlers to the other side. Mine only charges an extra 10 bucks.

Thanks Frank! It is a bit hairy hunting in the fog like that. Fortunately, it is club ground and the rules in place keep people pretty much apart from each other. 100 yards in each direction. It was pretty cool seeing the buck appear through the soup. I thought about fixing the antlers, but he is what he is. I am going to do a skull mount and put him up with the others.

As for the shotgun, it would be great for the open ground out there. It reaches out. I'm shooting Remington Accutips in 2 3/4 @ 1850 FPS. I didn't shot the 3" yet. I don't know if I really need to. I am curious to what they might do. Curiosity can get pretty expensive though.
