dbHunterNY
i've thought about getting one for a while now. I really like idea. I only use a rope style tree strap with a prussic knot. only reason i haven't gotten one is most of the time i'm using my climber. also when i do hunt out of a hang on stand i use a lineman's belt to climb. problem for a brief moment i'm not attached the tree. wtnhunt
Not the hss brand, but I do have a "lifeline" I use with my hangon stand that I made myself, I usually tie it off first thing when I get my sticks up before I pull up my hang on. Uses a sliding prussic knot, pretty simple to make your own. Good investment for sure.

wtnhunt
Yes I see that now..what kind of rope and tensil strenght do you use William..now I can copy the knot that i know what it looks like..I'll make my own too Sorry I missed the follow up question there Martin. Off the top of my head I am wanting to say the working strength on the rope I used was like 880 lbs and seems like the breaking strength was either 4000 lbs or maybe double the working strength, I could be wrong on that though. One thing to be sure of is that you use a weather resistant rope, especially if you leave the rope out for the season like I do.
Stinger-Hunter
I love these guys. They seem to be extremely conscience of hunter safety - not just businessmen trying to sell stuff to anxious hunters. All their products work well, that I've tested and used. I actually may consider this. It seems to be easy to use and definitely useful.
