Turkeygirl
Don't think I'll be putting a shotgun deer on the ground this year. today is my last day although season doesn't end till Sunday, I work all weekend. Went out last night and saw one come out but couldn't sneak in on her. Going to go out tonight, don't know if I'll sit where that doe was or try some still hunting then sit. Cold out so deer should be moving around tonight. Ah well, late season starts Monday and I'm excited to take my bow back out as I have 2 dmps left and then my gun buck tag can be used during late archery as well. wtnhunt
Good luck this afternoon Ruth. Don't feel too bad about the tag soup you are probably not gonna be alone, Christina is the only one in our family this year to put a deer on the ground and time is quickly running out. Passed on several little bucks early on here and one decent one and now things are looking really lousy, deer have seemed to have disappeared, not even seeing does. dbHunterNY
Good luck. Filled the freezer with some does, but haven't shot a buck this season. Haven't see a shooter the whole season. It's not over until it's over though, I'm heading back out this weekend and next most likely. Mock scrapes are now spiked with Special Golden Estrous (Couldn't find Tinks not in the gel form, where I am.).
Shaun_300
Good luck Ruth! I think I'll be skunked too, don't think my bow will have time to leave the case by the end of the season. Oh well.
Adjam5
Hope you connect Ruth. A great way to try and top off the season with that bow giant you knocked down. Good Luck.
fly
It only takes 5 seconds to change a hunting season form your worst to 1st. Although this is probably your 1st already with your bow buck. The best deer I have ever taken came on the last day of the 2007 bow season. January 17th, 2008 - minutes before the end of legal shooting time. A 170 inch buck that I had never seen before.

Think we may check into Arkansas for next year and see about the wife's grandparents place for a few days. No tags filled for the wife or I, cannot remember a year since she has been hunting where neither of us killed a deer. Ended up seeing deer late season, but just young bucks and a doe that always had a tiny fawn with her. Gonna be real interesting to see deer harvest numbers for the year, saw less does this year than I have seen in a long time.
