thought it would be cool to see the new mounts that some of you were blessed to harvest this past season.

Re: 04-05 mounts picts.

Here are my two mounts from the '04 season.

The one on the right is my archery buck (10 point - 145"). Not the biggest, however, the most "perfect rack" I have ever taken. The one on the left is another story. I make an effort to only take 140" or better bucks. Well, the last 4 muzzleloader seasons I have only shot doe for meat. This year this guy comes by and I look at him at 80 yards, then 30 yards, then 12 yards. I decide with that "neat" atypical point he is a shooter. To make a long story short he is an 11 point that scores 135". I am not sorry that I shot him, however, given another chance I probably should have passed on him. NEXT YEAR: NOTHING UNDER 150"!!! (you guys better hold me to that promise)!!!!!!!!

NOTE: I shot these deer out of the same tree, one week apart. As a result I had them mounted in the "same fashion" and they hang next to each other in my barn.
