muggs
Urban Meyer has already flipped two big time defensive line recruits that were committed to other Big Ten schools. He's not done either, I'm sure there are a lot of recruits who have soft verbally committed that are going to make the switch to OSU. Meyer is flipping recruits faster than most SEC fans can flip the McDonald's hamburger patties during their shift. I know what you're gonna think when I say this, and yes, it's the most historic and classic program in the country already, but I think THE Ohio State University football program is going to reach heights never acheived before. No pressure though, Urban.
pointing_dogs_rule
If they are from Penn State... I'm sure the "flip" wasn't too hard. I know that after the scandal at least seven verbal commitments started looking elsewhere. Bradley is doing his best to keep them at Penn Sate but I'm not sure that's going to be enough. I can only hope they hire someone like Dungey. good luck to all the dog
muggs
Dungey is a good man and would do a lot to repair their image at PSU, but I don't really know about his game-time coaching without Peyton Manning running his offense. He shoudl have won more Super Bowls in my opinion, but I do think he'd be a great influence on young men that age. Well, one of the recruits was committed to Penn State originally. A big nose tackle from Illinois, Tommy Schuut. He's the #52 recruit in the nation according to rivals.com. But, the other was Se'Von Pittman. He's a huge defensive end from Ohio who originally committed to Michigan State. With the fallout from the Tressel thing, OSU has lost some big name players from Ohio to both Michigan and Michigan State. Pittman is the 9th rated DE in the nation. The #1 Ohio recruit is Kyle Kalis. He's a big offensive tackle from the Cleveland area. He was originally committed to OSU then switched to Michigan. Doesn't look like he's going to change back to OSU, so I hope he enjoys watching Urban Meyer out smart Brady Hoke for the next 4 years of his life. buckbuster11
Meyer is going to run the already weak Big 10 for as long as he is there. Great hire. BTW I called this over a year ago. That whole scandal getting exposed with Tressel and Pryor was to get Tressel run out of town so they could hire Meyer.
muggs
Johnboy! What up, buddy? Add Noah Spence to the list. He's ranked in the top ten by all the recruiting websites..and he's from PA too. Nice.

Gator
Sounds like he may have a little less to work with the next few years: Ohio State gets bowl ban, other penalties - College Football - Rivals.com
muggs
No biggie. I don't think they'll be legit title contenders until Braxton Miller's Junior year anyway, and that will be the 2013 Bowl season. And, they only lost 3 scholarships a year for the next 3 years. USC lost 30...and they still had one of the best recruiting classes last year, and do again this year. The scholarships Meyers has are still going to be filled with all 4 and 5 star caliber players. This is really a non-story.
