PremiumBeef
I was lucky enough to draw a once in a lifetime bull elk tag in the Wichita Mts. NWR in southwestern Oklahoma this year. The refuge is about 59,000 acres of the roughest country you will ever run across in this part of the nation. I saw 16 bulls on the hunt and harvested this 7x8 at 9 am on December 13. I shot him at 237 yards with a 300 RUM. He was traveling with 3 other mature bulls, traversing a mountain when I took him. The hunt was an awesome experience and I would recommend applying for the hunt to anyone who lives in the Oklahoma area. http://
m gardner
That's a pretty bull. I like the flyer off the antler. Most importantly, how does he taste? Elk is very good food.

PremiumBeef
Ivories looked to be about as big around as a penny and flattened off. Biologist aged the bull at 8 yrs. old.
