Re: Reatree Admin - I\'ve Tried it all

I have not had any trouble logging in or uploading any pics although I've only tried two. I know it is obvious but make sure the pic isn't too big and make sure it is a supported file format (JPG or GIF). It might help to copy and paste the error message and put it here so we can pass it on to the webmaster.

If you are having trouble logging in you might try making sure you are not logged in on a different computer that is online somewhere.

Hang in there and I'm sure the site admin will get these things worked out.

Apparently there is a software conflict of some sort that is causing this problem. The webmaster is aware of it and it is being worked on and will be corrected ASAP. You also have to upload your photos as j-pegs. No other file type will work. Simply renaming the image witha .jpg will not work either. You must open and save the image as a jpg.

I just tried to upload a GIF image and got the same error. You must resave the picture as a JPG image and it should work. If you don't know how to resave it open the image in a picture editing program (paint, photoshop, etc...), click save as and in a drop down box you should be able to select JPG or JPEG. Let us know how it goes.

Re: Reatree Admin - I\'ve Tried it all

swamphunter1968,

Was the first picture you tried to upload a GIF? After I tried to upload a GIF it will not let me upload any pics at all and always gives me the error message you posted above. I then thought it might be something left on my computer that is causing a conflict after trying the GIF so I deleted some cookies and a few other things with no luck. I then created a new user account and proceeded to upload three JPEG images (several the same images my smallmunster account wouldn't upload). It appears to be an error in the web page. I have told the admin about it and hopefully my tests will help them to get things fixed. I'll let you know what I find out.

Re: Reatree Admin - I\'ve Tried it all

LifeNRA,

The issue doesn't appear to have anything to do with the size of the pic or it's format. I don't know about everyone, but some of us (myself included) are not able to upload any pics (including properly sized and formated JPEG's) after trying to upload a GIF image. The site gives the GIF upload error for every pic that is uploaded. I don't know if it is something stupid that I am missing or what the deal is, but I am talking with the Admin about the problem and hope to resolve it soon.
