bfletch7441
I've got a TC Black Diamond black powder rifle I want to put a scope on, but I haven't bought any glass in years so I'm not sure what's good or bad any more. Any recommendations? I would like to keep it below $150 if possible. Thanks! Ben
Adjam5
I have not bought a scope in years also until a few months ago. I purchased a Redfield Revolution in 3x9x50 for my 7mm mag for $150 shipped and a 2-7x33 for my Marlin 30/30 for $120. Both from Ebay. Redfield is owned by Leupold and made in the same factory as the Leupold scopes in Oregon, USA. I am very happy with the clarity, focus and overall performance of the scopes I've bought. I highlt reccomend them. You will not be dissappointed. I was leaning towards the Bushnell Trophy XLT(because of Waddy and T Bone commercials). But It was made in China( sorry Mr Waddell). Give Redfield a good look. The 2-7x33 would be perfect for the smokepole.
wtnhunt
Lot of functional scopes in that price range. Nikon fan here, about all I will buy for scopes anymore. Whatever you decide on, would definitely check some of the ebay deals and clearance sales at cabelas and others.
okiedog
I too am a Nikon fan. I have some of the Prostaffs as well as the Buckmaster series. The Buckmaster's are just a little clearer to me.
Shaun_300
I like the bushnell scopes for me. All my rifles wear them from the more inexpensive Bushnell Legend up to the Elite 3200 5-15x50. Impressed with all of them.
huntinsonovagun
I've got a Burris Fullfield 2 on my TC Triumph- great scope. Found it online for $140 new. I've also got a Nikon Buckmaster that I THINK may be a little bit clearer, but I'm not sure because they're so close in clarity. I do have to say the turrets seem to have a little more solid click on the Nikon. I'd recommend both. I put the cheaper of the two on my ML and have no regrets at all. fly
I have Leupold Ultra slam on my 300 ultra mag, Nikon buckmasters on my Remington Black powder, and a Cabela's Alpha series on my sons Traditions Black Powder. All three are great scopes and can't say I prefer one over the other. The Alpha series is on sale right now at Cabela's. RangerClay
I too like my Bushnell scopes. The most recent one I have purched is the Legend and I am VERY happy with it. Once you make up your mind be sure to check out Opticsplanet.com many of their scopes are shipped for free.
