hornaddiction
Re: Mnt.Lion attacking Deer! The taxidermist that has this mount for sale broke his ribs last week and cannot work for awhile. Due to his injury he has dropped the price on this mount from $13,000 down to $6,000 if anyone is interested.

They would probably be interested in something like that for a display.
ruttinbuc
Re: Mnt.Lion attacking Deer! Really neat mount. I saw one here that had a cougar dragging down a whitetail from behind. Makes the rounds at the shows every year.
Guest VenadoMacho
Re: Mnt.Lion attacking Deer! "Asking $13,00" Your kidding right? The average lion cost $1,500 to mount and a deer is alittle less. That mount "might" cost $4-5,000 to do. For $13 k you can go out and kill your own lion and deer and have it mounted the same way, and still have some cash left over.

[/ QUOTE ] I have a full body deer mount and it was $2000.00 and change for a deer just lying down. I doubt this mount cost anywhere near $13,000, but I do agree that $5,000.00 isn't that far off the mark. Look at the position of the deer, the open mouth kit for both, the injury to the whitetails back, the base. I still say 5K. What do you think RTF?? IowaDeerHunter
Re: Mnt.Lion attacking Deer! Yeah 6 K is def. a right price IMO! I don't know if he had to make his own forms or not never seen a lion like that. There is a lot to cover with time/labor. Materials.

preacherman
Re: Mnt.Lion attacking Deer! that is indeed a cool looking mount. RTF
Re: Mnt.Lion attacking Deer! [ QUOTE ] What do you think RTF?? [/ QUOTE ] For a middle class hunter 5k is the norm. Now for an upper class hunter/celeb $13 k is nothing. It all depends on who you market too.
