shickoff
Just wondering what you Realtree forum turkey hunters think about the two new turkey motion decoys from MOJO: Turkey Motion Decoys | Realtree ® Thanks, Steve
Ravin R10 man
Dont know I'd want to be hunting public land calling and sitting behind a fan. I guess it would be a safety issue for me.
shickoff
Turkey Motion Decoys Dont know I'd want to be hunting public land calling and sitting behind a fan. I guess it would be a safety issue for me. The video link at the bottom of our turkey blog post definitely demonstrates that if it fools real turkeys, the most paranoid birds on the planet, well . . . It's interesting how this gear trend has developed over the years: in waterfowl and turkey hunting. Some guys in wide-open places out West bellycrawl with a fan in front of them. Hey dbHunterNY. Good to hear from ya. It's definitely a tricky deal. Pushing the tactical envelope, for sure. And the safety issues are important to consider. How are your New York turkeys doing this winter? Thanks, Steve

Hopefully the monster bird I've been trying to call across the boarder for the past 4 springs makes it through. I'm sure I could pay the neighbor and then hunt his field and it'd be a done deal, but where's the fun in that. I've actually tried the fan thing once in a first year alfalfa field. Different bird. Almost worked. I was on my belly and had them come right in. Problem was hens made it by me first. one didn't like what she saw before the tom noticed and made it into range. Now I just try to get ahead of them, setup at the edge of cover, and be patient. Northeast is different country than out west though, where it'd be better utilized. Rhino
1st time I've seen it. Interesting idea if you feel OK with taking the risk hunting behind it. I doubt it'd hold up for long with some of the stuff I'll go through to get in position to work a bird. Personally, as most know here, I'm mainly a no decoy kind of turkey hunter. Haven't broken one out to use in a quite a few years.
