Tony
i bought a Kimber Custom II in .45 ACP 2 years ago and i had always wanted to shoot a deer with it with open sights. the pistol shoots great and i was pretty confident if i got a shot under 30 yards i was going to make a good shot. so jan 8 i was out in the morning sitting in one of my bow stands and a yearling doe showed up at 30 yards. i was hoping she would come closer, but when she was broadaside at 30 i decided to take the shot. at the sound of the boom she was running, but she only went 40 yards and fell over. the 45 ACP went clean through her, it was a perfect double lung hit. im still pretty stoked about shooting a deer with my pistol. a few years ago i shot one with my scope sighted S&W 44 mag, but this was a lot differant by using open fixed sights just like i practice with.
