Shaun_300
Took my girlfriend up to my grandma's today to get her out on her first ice fishing trip of her life. She had a blast, I think I had more fun watching her than she did catching the fish. We both had a blast, along with my uncle and cousin's that were fishing with us. We got into some whitefish that bit like crazy for over an hour! Despite it being -20c or -5F all day, there was no wind and sunny so it didn't even feel close to that temperature. Here's a few pics. Kerri's first time ice fishing Her first fish, my cousin held it for her, treble hook got caught in the gills so it was bleeding like a stuck pig! Nice whitefish I caught

Shaun_300
Looks like a great day bud......it looks like you are out there a long ways....we were closer to shore were we not? The first pic was at the shack, where we were. The other pics were basically on the other side of the lake straight across from where we were. Think I told you guys about that spot but there was so much snow we wouldn't have been able to get there that day.

Shaun_300
They are delicious Steve! There's a small oil gland on the bottom part of the fillets that you have to remove or you'll get a fishy taste.
