mainehunter895
What are some of your hunting sayings? We love an use "if its brown its down, if it hops it drops, if it flies it dies";)
layin on the smackdown
i always thoroughly enjoy using the term "booger" regarding deer and turkeys "boogering" out of your set...or if you share a blind or stand with someone and they are careless with their scent control and they "booger" it up......and clearly i enjoy using any phrase with the word "smackdown" in it. oh...i also like to refer to any deer or turkey that is abnormally large as a "toad". dan Edited January 25, 2012 by layin on the smackdown
Tominator
I've got a buddy that's kind of, "colorful," shall we say? He uses a few that I like. When he comes across a rub that's exceptional, he calls those "carrots." My favorite is when you get a mess of chasing going on while you're in a stand. He'll send me a one word text--carnival. Adjam5
We call tasty young little does skippers. Big ole does we call molly's. Shooter bucks that never give ya a shot, we call Ghosts.
wtnhunt
"brown its down" seems to be the motto of most of those around us. We try to "let em go so they can grow" when it comes to young bucks, but seems it does not work out so well for us. Oldest daughter says "swiss cheese" when she hears the same shooter shoot 4 or more rifle shots within a short time frame. Baiting is not legal here, but we have some "baiter boys" around, wish the game warden would catch them.
Rhino
We refer to big mature does as boone & skillets. Fawns are skipper jacks.
dbHunterNY
ones used where i hunt, by others.... "if it's brown, it's down" "wasn't one of the big ones, but i got my buck" "i filled the freezer" "that's some good eatin" what you tell a hunter who shoots a little buck. "that's good for a bow buck right?" i like to use these.... "bambi" is anything that's not a shooter and antlerless "bambi almost all grown up" is anything with antler that's not a shooter. "that time of the year again. deer must be ready to run the gauntlet."

fly
A few that come to mind: Brushape - hunter that doesn't look past the target when he/she shoots Firesack - sleeping bag that has hot rocks from the campfire in it to keep the person warm. Rip Roaring - when the campfire gets tall and hot
