layin on the smackdown Posted February 3, 2012 Report Share Posted February 3, 2012 My brother in law shoots the 20 gauge H & R single shot...its a heck of a good shooting slug gun. I don't really see the need for a 12 gauge, the only gain you'll get with a 12 is extra should trauma. Either way, 12 or 20, its a heck of a slug gun...i dont think you'll go wrong either way. Hunted with the 12. accuracy is good on both but I like the 12 just because with sabots you dont get full bore sized rounds and I like max wound channel.
