surgery was at 8am this morning. i was in the recovery room by 11, and released at 1:30. i'm in cheyenne tonight and will go to gillette tomarrow.

they cut a 1/2 dollar hole in my upper pallet, removing all the cancer. had it tested, of course, and it was not good. but, it is all gone. they fitted a prostesis for my upper pallet, so i can't chew or eat any solids for a while. but, i'm cancer free. no chemo. no radiation. no further problems expected. i go back monday for a check, then every 6 weeks for a year. bottom line is, i'm real happy. we caught it immediately and it's gone.

thank you, one and all, for the prayers and well wishes. all i have left to do is get rid of a nasty headache, heal up all the needle holes, and let the mouth do it's thing. what a relief. my girls were with me, crying their eyes out. they just couldn't stand the thought of maybe losing another parent so soon. so, it looks like the prayers worked, and i'll be around a while.
