TheProvider
shoot #70 at 28" I'm young and can draw it easily. Can I draw more? Probably? Will I? Probably not. Way to many people out bow them selves. I guess it's the same as rifle hunters who have to shoot the biggest baddest cannon.
Dawg
65lbs. 30" draw
redkneck
Maxed out at around 72 on my new Bear. My old one was set at 56lbs, and man am I missing that! This summer I have got to either get my arm built up more or back off the weight, my draw right now is just a little too cumbersome with the added pull, and I didn't get used to it as fast as I had hoped. I think 65 is probably where I need to be right now, but I really like the limbs bottomed when shooting 40+ yards.
00DodgeGuy
My bowtech is a 28" draw at 72 lbs.
ruttinbuc
The poll button isn't working for me, but I am shooting 53#'s. Plenty enough to get it done for anything I might hunt. I developed shoulder problems and had to go with lighter limbs. Shooting heavier weights for years more than likely helped with the problem. dbHunterNY
Sorry Mike. I can't do much in terms of fixing it. Maybe a mod will see it and can fix it, not sure.

lungbuster88
What draw weight do you shoot with your hunting bow? 71# gets the job done everytime.
Ethan Givan
I used to shoot around 70, but I figured out there was no reason to shoot that kind of weight. I backed it down to where drawing in awkward positions or in heavy clothing was easier, and found shooting the lighter weight was more enjoyable. Im shooting about 63# now. Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
I voted on this thread and never replied My z7 has 65# limbs and which is what it is set at. My next bow might be 60# Not that it is tough to pull back 70#, I just don't feel the need to go that high anymore.
Bassforfun
60 lbs.
bumpster
What draw weight do you shoot with your hunting bow? My Reezen is cranked to #70. I set this bow up for elk out west. You could shoot 5 yards or 75 yards or more out there plus shooting at a much larger animal than a deer. I am very confident shooting 60 yards and have practiced out to 75. But in 2 years with the bow I shot a cow at 40 and a bull at 25. No pass throughs.

I was just curious as to why.
shawn8157
My hoyt is set at 72# and does a great job on any animal, most shots are under 20 yards but I have been know to send the rage out to 70yds. Lower weights on today's bows do a great job, I just like the added speed mine gives me. However my 9 year old son has killed two deer with his hoyt and had a complete pass thru with his set at 40#.
