LETMGROW
If this were my child there would be **** to pay for someone. We had an incident with a teacher when we asked for our kids not to get floride treatment in school. This was because our water had been tested and it had a high level of natural content in it. Our dentist recommended it not be applied by anyone. My 6 year old son was humiliated in front of his whole class by the teacher and referred to as Daddy's little baby. He came home really upset. When I entered the classroom the next day I got my point across quite well. I demanded an apology from the teacher both to my son and me. I also made sure the class was addressed as to the mistake the teacher made. All this was done gracefully ( imagine that ) with the principal at my side. No more issues the rest of the school year. She was put on probation until June. Lynn

wtnhunt
Been all over the news this week. Think it is disgusting that such policies even exist. In my opinion this type thing is a big part of what is so wrong with this country today. Government is so concerned about forcing these types of things that should be left to the parents when we have more real serious problems that should be being dealt with. I could go on about school issues here.

LETMGROW
When I was growing up I spent a lot of time at a friend's house whose father preached constantly about the threat of communism. He contended it had been said by a Russian leader they would stretch communism to the US and take us over without having to fire a shot. I believe this statement was made by Russia's Nakita Kruschev. You know, maybe my friend's dad wasn't as eccentric as I once thought. It's becoming more evident daily. Lynn
The Bug House
Apparently some of you guys missed the fact that this was a State Agent, working for the State Government and has nothing to do with the Federal Government, aside from interpreting USDA guidelines (Not Laws) in place since 1972. LETMGROW
Yeah guys, don't fret. The school made it all better. They waived the $ 1.25 charge they tried to collect for the lunch they forced on the child. Their outpouring of generousity is overwhelming. This should make everything all better. Ravin R10 man
Thats good to know..I would not have paid it any ways..besides that lunch wasnt bad at all!...but then again, to some in this country, if we dont have state and feds telling us what to do, when to do it, and how to do it, and relying on them , how will we ever get by? This country is becoming a "Nanny" state..much to the liking of the Liberals Edited February 16, 2012 by Mathews XT Man

RangerClay
This is just the tip of the iceberg folks. Those of us who work in education can see the handwriting on the wall. Our school cafeteria supervisor is pulling his hair out. Michelle Obama has handed down to states an 800 page manual of changes that will take place in school caferteria's. Some of these changes are good but they are not giving us any extra money to implement it. Second if you look around you will see more and more schools start banning the practice of bringing lunch to school. They will use excuses like "non-nutritional" or "dangerous" (kid's bring things like peanut butter). Then the parents will say, "But I cannot afford a school lunch". Then the schools will reply. "Well then, sign up for the free or reduced lunch program". I'm telling ya now folks it is welfare for kids. Its getting more people dependent on our government for another socialist hand out. They can sugar coat it all they want but its nothing more than getting our kids used to getting a free hand out. 92xj
The parents should have made a healthier lunch for the kid. The teacher is trying to pick up where the parent lacks. Fat kids is a problem and if the parents suck at parenting, the next best thing is the teacher or school system to pick up the slack. Go school system! Not really,I dont mean any of that, it's bogus! i
