Shaun_300
I have a 2011 Chevy K1500 Silverado 4X4. 4600 miles. My wife drives a 2012 Chevy Sonic LT. 740 miles. How does your wife enjoy the sonic? We have quite a few of them on the lot but have only sold a few. They are a nice little car, big step up from the Aveo! Good pickup with the new 6-speed auto too. Totally different car. Personally I'd get the LTZ model with the 1.4 Turbo/6-speed manual combo.
JimT
I am surprised they do not sell more. We like it a lot. We went in for a Cruz and come out with the Sonic. The Cruz was $2000.00 more which is not much. My wife liked the Sonic better and that was that...lol. I am 5'11" and run 225 and am comfortable in it. We set the seats for us up front and then sat in the back. Plenty of leg room for the kids. Great gas mileage, good power and a good ride all for under $15,000.00 new. I need to stop pressing the Onstar button though. Done it twice so far by accident. Ooops...
mikebohio
just yesterday sold my little ranger work truck. it had just turned 190,000 mi. then traded in my 2002 35th anniversary camaro that i loved but never drove on a 2002 chevy trailblazer with 99,000 mi. my wife has a 2005 pontiac grand prix with 50,000 mi. would have loved to buy a full size chevy truck but my job requires way to much traveling. will probably take the car on the long hauls to save on gas. the wife has been eyeballing the trailblazer since i bought it so I'm sure she wont mind. i cant see buying newer vehicles with my job because i roll up the miles on them. I did the PDI on the first one we got at the dealer, I'm 6'4" 175lbs, fit in it quite comfortable compared to the Aveo's. Our senior tech who is 6'5" 275lbs also found it very comfortable. In the aveo's we'd have to fold into them with our knees wrapped around our heads lol. Turns out her Optra has a coolant leak and she doesn't want to put any more money into it. Haven't opened the hood yet to see what it leaking. But she's mentioned she wants the orange Sonic hatchback that's in the showroom. It's an auto and I swore I wouldn't buy an auto but we'll see. I want a Cruze Eco 1.4 turbo/6 speed manual. But I must say I did enjoy driving the Sonic she likes...
JimT
I do not mid actually "driving" a car. Shifting is not an issue at all. Until I spill my coffee, then I might get reminded to be a little more careful in the new car...

Stinger-Hunter
My car will be paid off this summer. An Altima, 2.5 - I went in to get a Ford F-150 and fell in love with a mini-mobile. I love this car, though. Next car will be a truck, Ford F-150 with extended Cab. Will pay in full. I'm done with car payments. $452.39 every month since 2007. Mach1
2004 F150 Super Crew 4x4 ~108K: This is my truck we bought used in Oct. '06 a month after we got married. I pushed it as a family vehicle to my wife. It's the truck I'd wanted for a long time. I currently only drive about 22 miles round trip 5 days a week. Again, no major issues with the truck so far and it's paid for. I plan on getting at least 200K miles out of it before I upgrade. Upgrade coming way sooner than expected. I was rear-ended a week and a half ago while waiting to turn into my employer's parking lot. Didn't look like a bunch of damage initially, but once the body shop started taking it apart, they found damage to the frame that was not going to be able to be repaired without significant cost, therefore the insurance company declared it a total loss. They gave me fair market value for the truck, so now it's time to start looking for a new-to-me truck. Having not checked the truck market out for awhile, I was shocked at how values have increased on used trucks since I bought mine in '06. A current truck in similar condition to how I bought mine in '06, is $6000-9000 more than the price I paid in '06. Needless to say, I'm having to go a little older and a bit higher in mileage than what I did then to stay within my budget. Luckily I've been able to find a few prospective options within a couple hours of where we live, a couple with the options that I originally wanted back in '06. Now just to find the time to go check em out with my wife.
