bowhunter97
Hey guys i was just wondering if anyone has killed a hog with a 22 caliber spring loaded air gun/pellet gun. If so how big and where did u shoot em?
stevebeilgard
i've seen it done on youtube, but i just would not. i believe in the right gun for the animal, and a 22 pellet gun isn't good enough for me. i've got a gamo 22, which is suppose to do the trick, but i'm not going to try. now, if you do try, i'm suggesting putting the lead in the ear. you need a penetrating brain shot, and that is you best option. snapper
I'm with Steve...my opinion...there's no place for air guns in big game hunting!
tilur18
hi I have never done it
redkneck
Never done it, saw the videos of folks killing them with pellets that had the hardened inserts in them or something like that. I say go for it! Shoot hogs with anything and everything you can! They aren't big game, they are a big nuisance! Shoot them in the head, guts, or anywhere you care to lol. Makes me wanna go get one right now!!!

Adjam5
Even though hogs are not considered big game. We as hunters owe it to the animal to dispatch it as quickly as possible. I think these new air guns bring quick death to the table here. I have always been led to believe that in order to kill deer/hog sized game cleanly. One needs a gun capable of producing 1000/ftlbs of energy at 100 yards. These new air guns must provide this. I don't know how with such light pellets as opposed to bullets. But they can kill just as a powder powered cartridge can. Airguns are good in urban environments.
