dbHunterNY
started carrying Nikon binos in the car again. really want to get one with a bow this year. i've been after this one bird for a while now, gonna die of old age at this point i'd imagine. sightings of turkeys in general were down a lot last year. hoping things are better this year and with less coyotes. RangerClay
Way to early to start getting the itch here. I still have ice fishing, shed hunting, and trout fishing to do first. With most of the turkey population detroyed by coyotes back home I just don't get that excited anymore.

Adjam5
Got back from Texas 2 weeks ago and had Rios(about 30-35 of em) come every single day to the feeder. They would chase off the whitetail and the Axis. Watching them go about their business put me in Turkey mode. Too bad their season wasn't open yet. I got to learn a few new sounds that I never heard Eastern birds do and some great video of turkeys being turkeys. The Boss Tom never broke strut. My son Joe will be off to the Hill Country of Texas on St Paddy's weekend to shoot a Rio tom. Hope he nails that Boss.
