Trevor
Was looking for input on what to look for. Was leaning towards the ameristep brick house ground blind. Any body have one.
swohiodave
Trust me. Get one that is squared. Round tops on blinds take away a lot of interior room. Sit in one at a store with a stool before you buy.
swohiodave
Oh yeah. I learned the hard way!
Ohiobucks
I've always heard you can't beat a Double Bull, and now I'm a believer. Just got a Dark Horse last week and man is it nice. $230 delivered, and the guy has a load of them. Let me know if you need more info on him... whitetailfreak55
I have an ameristep brickhouse and I love it works really well for gun but its pretty tight when drawing a bow
cowboy778
I got the Ameristep Bonehunter blind which is almost identical and I love it. I shot a doe out of it Archery season in MO. I also shot a buck from it in NY couple years ago. Easy set up and works well.
hoosierhunter
Ground blind-any tips when buying Buy a double bull no questions asked. Try hunting out of a different blind in the wind and you will understand.
whitetailfreak55
Ya mine works good the reason its so tight is probably because I had a regular chair in it instead of a stool that's used in most blinds LOL
RangerClay
Trust me. Get one that is squared. Round tops on blinds take away a lot of interior room. Sit in one at a store with a stool before you buy. I have a round top Ameristep Doghouse TCS and there is plenty of room. I have never had any trouble shooting my bow in there, in fact there is a hook to hang your bow from the ceiling. I've killed several deer and turkey with my bow from my blind. One tip I will recommend to be sure that you have your blind pulled before the first good snow.

Let me know if you need more info on him... if i wasn't trying to save money then i'd hitting Tom up for that info. Double Bulls are very nice. another brand i've come across very similar to the Double Bull blinds are Rhino blinds. bigger the better. also the hub style blinds are the way to go. i had a spring steel blind with poles for the top and it didn't hold up nearly as long. plus it's a pain to setup and take down compared to the pop out hub style. the double bulls and others with more of a canvas shell hold up better than your nylon?? material on the cheaper blinds. sticks and debris from wind will poke small holes all over it after time. also the material stretches much more when snowed on. another thing is vertical windows are nice too. Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
Was looking for input on what to look for. Was leaning towards the ameristep brick house ground blind. Any body have one. Ameristep makes great blinds. I own 3 of them. I always said I would never buy a Double bull simple because they were overpriced. Now, they are down about $100 from what they used to be. Tom (Ohiobucks) paid a great price for his. If I were to get a new one it would probably one of those. I am using an Ameristep Intimidator and have had no problems with it. The brickhouse you mentioned is nice, but I prefer something along the lines of the double bull and Intimidator as far as windows go. Flintlock1776
My main blind is the Double Bull Matrix RECURVE blind. Recurve was the largest of their line. Plenty of room to stand up. I have a Doble Bull T2 for packing into distant sites. Compact yet roomy enough for compound bow and my Parker Buck Buster Compound bow. For gun hunting I have Primos Gunhunter's Blind. All are easy to carry; set up and deer, turkey and other critters do not spook. No flap, no shine. Check them out. Good luck with your choice
Stinger-Hunter
I learned the hard way a few years ago. I wrongfully assumed that if they make a blind, it would fit a guy in the there with a weapon. Wrong! Pretty much anything that looks big is good. Mine was compact and I had 4 does walk within 10 feet of me. I couldn't even pull back without them seeing me. I had to let them all go. Very disappointing. If I get another one, you can guarantee it will be a monster.
RangerClay
Just got an email that Natchez Shooter Supply has most of their pop-up blinds on sale. Something you may want to check out.
Trevor
Well I finely got my blind. I bought the Ameristep bone collector hub style blind. Can't wait for the season to open next Saturday. Plan to put the blind out in woods on edge of the corn field on Wednesday so the turkeys get used to it being there.
