Blade
Yesterday I bought my own treestand it is great. I bought it on Sportsmans Guide for $98.00. It is 18' high with a shooting rail. Its maximum weight is 500lbs. I saved my money to buy some nice hunting supplies. I like this stand because I can use it for years. It is completly padded with arm rests and a full floor. When my stand comes in we are going to build it put it up in our backyard and then bring it to our hunting land. :yes:Guide Gear Jumbo 18' Ladder Tree Stand - 681071, Ladder Tree Stands at Sportsman's Guide
Swamphunter
I'm proud of you son... you are a very mature young man. You can practice shooting your deer target from the stand in the back yard until we bring it to the hunting land this summer
Shaun_300
That's awesome Blade! Like your dad said, get lots of practice shooting from it before the hunting season. Hope you shoot a big buck out of it!
RangerClay
That is very cool Blade! Next thing is a safety harness. Be sure to post some pics when you have it set-up.
dbHunterNY
That is very cool Blade! Next thing is a safety harness. Be sure to post some pics when you have it set-up. yup remember to always wear a harness, even if the stand has got a rail all around it. 18' is starting to get up there. I even have a brand new adult Sm/Med Muddy Safeguard harness that would probably fit you that i'm trying to sell if you need one. I'm sure you've got one or your dad Ken will make sure you have one. Good luck with it buddy!
wtnhunt
Looks like a real comfortable stand there Blade. Looking forward to watching how your season goes this coming fall.
Blade
Just looked at the Treestand online and way at the bottom is comes with a TMA Treestand Harness. I could have got a $90.00 Treestand Harness. My luck, it comes with one for free!:jaw:

cowboy778
Awesome job on the purchase. I will reiterate what everyone said. Make sure you follow safety precautions. Looks like you will be getting a lot of deer out of that stand. Happy Hunting.
Blade
I got it because it has full floor and arm rests. It all is padded. I'm lucky if I don't fall asleep.
Blade
In another tree stand when you move the seat makes a noise. In this one it comes with 2 seat silencers. So it does not make the noise that often.
ny_gun
I purchased 4 of these last summer for a new property. It is a good stand for the money! Blade
I am going to use this one for bow hunting because I can only hunt for deer with a bow.
Cole14bowhunting
I Bought My Own Treestand What kinda bow do you have? And 18 foot is up there my tallest stand is a 20 foot bowstand and I get nervous so def wear a safety harness cuz I do and make sure you put it up and shoot out foot a little bit cuz shooting from a stand is different the on the ground cuz you have a whole smaller platform and stuff. good luck
Blade
I always wear a Saftey Harness. The bow I have is a Diamond Razor Edge at 42 Lbs.

dbHunterNY
I am going to use this one for bow hunting because I can only hunt for deer with a bow. having that fold down shooting rail is a good thing. might need to put it down so it's not in the way when you've got a buck under you. RangerClay
because I can only hunt for deer with a bow. No... you can hunt small game too. I whacked a turkey last fall and so can you. Bring a couple arrows with field points to shoot some squirrels for fun on slow days.
