coles
Hey guys. I need an opinion on a bow. My fiancee and I have been talking about gettin a bow for her for a couple years. A while back we looked at a Bear Homewrecker and she liked it but the price was pretty steep being $399 for the bare bow. We looked today and they dropped the price to $199 for the bow only. Anyways, any of you guys have any experience with the bow? Im thinking I might have to just jump on it for the price.

Rackmasta68
Bow for my fiancee? It's good if she is a beginner you don't want to break the bank here on something that she is just learning. So sure grab it and go just remember with a gift like that just tell her "it's the gift that keeps on giving" Enjoy
DropTine49
That's a steal on that bow! I have 2 2009 Bear Truth 2's that are the same limb and cam design with a different deflection and riser length. It is one of the smoothest bows, and for $199.99?? You cannot beat it. It's very easy to work on, and if you need any DL modules for that bow, let me know.
coles
Thanks guys. I stopped into a little archery shop that my neighbor runs and asked him what his opinion was. He looked up his price on them and he cant even buy them from a distributer for that price. Figured I would go with a 3 or 5 pin sight. She hasnt taken bow hunter's safety yet so this will just be backyard fun shooting for now. So I dont want to overwhelm her with a bunch of pins. If I do end up with a 5 pin sight for it, Ill just drop the bottom two pins down to the bottom so she doesnt have to worry about those for the time being. dbHunterNY
depending on her draw length and how much weight she can pull, i'd set them for 10, 20, and 25 yards. possibly you could get 10, 20, and 30 yards with the gaps the same. i haven't cared for the Bears bows enough to buy one, but i didn't have a budget. what i like about them is the grips are now pretty much good and don't induce much torque and their backwalls seem to be solid, which will help her with form consistency.
