Well after nearly 3,000km round trip we're finally home. Happy to be home, pulled in about an hour ago. Nice young lady at Canada customs so luckily we didn't have to have our car that's packed to the roof searched. Just asked us where we were, how long we were there, any alcohol or tobacco and said have a nice day.

Left Hershey, PA at 5:20 this morning, filled up the gas tank and pulled onto the I-81N on ramp, girlfriend's little Optra doesn't have a lot of torque especially loaded like it was, so I have to really get onto it to get up to speed before I merge. Of course this idiot in a half ton was in the slow lane and my merge lane was right about to end, just as he moved over I started moving over, look up and BAM! Ran over a shredded tractor trailer tire. Scared the heck out of both of us. I thought great, that's all I need is a flat at 5 in the morning on an interstate with no numbers for help. Never put a scratch on the car suprisingly, I'll put it up on my hoist tomorrow to make sure and check the alignment, hit it at 65 or so. Couldn't believe the amount of shredded tires are along the interstates down there! Hardly ever see one here.

Anyways it started getting light around 6:30am and I got to see your beautiful mountain scenery in PA and southern NY. I'm jealous to say the least! Only complaint about the whole trip is the road conditions and construction in PA. No offence PA but your DOT needs to take some lessons from NY on how to maintain roads. It was quite the battle keeping the car on the road and not collapsing our spines driving this morning over the huge potholes and bumps every 50 yards, then fighting with the hills, tractor trailers and 40mph winds! LOL. Crossed into NY and it was like driving on a runway!

Sorry about not being able to stop and see anyone like I wanted to, my girlfriend still isn't feeling 100% plus it was monday so I imagine everyone was working anyways.

Anywho here's some pics.

When we arrived there was a car show, that combined with it being a saturday on spring break, traffic and the amount of people on the streets was INSANE! Lots of cool cars and trucks to look at though.

Both of us work at a GM dealer so we decided to check Myrtle Beach Chevrolet Cadillac out since I spotted the new Chevy Volt out front and I've never seen one in person before

Couple of cool trucks. Wish I could drive one of them home.

Anyway there's a few of many, had a great time. Either going there again next year or the TN Smoky Mountains, or both if we can afford it.

Gotta agree.

PA isn't a very nice place to visit. But I'd hate to live there.

Glad you two had a nice trip otherwise.
