PotashRLS Posted April 3, 2012 Report Share Posted April 3, 2012 It took 3 different Toms and 4 shots to finally get this one on the ground but boy was he a happy hunter. His Dad ( on the left ) hunted with us the whole time too. The bird weighed 24 1/2 lbs, had a 10 1/2" paintbrush and only 3/4" spurs. Dandy for sure. Spring is early and the birds are way ahead of schedule. Many are henned up. My brother and his youth hunter watched a Tom breed a hen Sunday morning. Cool hunt for sure.
