Adjam5
3.99 to the 4.20 range here in downstate NY currently. But if we want, we can scoot across the border into NJ and gas up for usually .30-.40cents cheaper per gallon.
Shaun_300
Wow this is an old thread! It's actually dropping here for a change. Has been sitting around $1.27/liter here for a while, just dropped to $1.23, which is $4.65/gal. You can fill up 25 miles away in Ottawa for $1.15ish (4.35/gal). I have to run premium in my truck which is 8-10c/liter more than regular depending on the gas station.
Michiganbowhunter_SQ2
It is about an average of $3.35 around here.

WHISKEYSWAMP
$3.21 here... I guess since the price of gas has dropped 60 cents in the last couple weeks, that would mean the economy is getting worse according to Obamanomics. wtnhunt
$3.21 here... I guess since the price of gas has dropped 60 cents in the last couple weeks, that would mean the economy is getting worse according to Obamanomics. Obama's comment on gas being low when he took office as an indication of a poor economy and prices being double or more being the sign the economy was better was something that voters should pick up on. Romney should be able to hammer Obama on that during the debate tonight if gas prices come back up. I do think Mike is right on what will happen with Obama in regards to oil and our gas prices. Just my speculative opinion, but I think we will see prices fall in late September to early October and Obama attempting to take credit for things getting better as he has done with the economy. Figured we would see some manipulation in prices, wal mart here has gas for $3.229 if you take advantage of the 10 cents off with a gift card. With the news of what is taking place in the middle east, it was speculated prices would go up from what heard on the radio, interesting that the opposite is occurring so close to our election. layin on the smackdown
i read the first couple posts and i was like, good gumballs man, theres no way illinois has the cheapest - and then i saw the dates...We are sitting right at 3.35 a gallon here in south central IL. News said the other night it is predicted to continue to drop through Thanksgiving....i guess we shall see - did that 2-3 years ago - went from 3.30 in august to 1.69 in november. Jeramie
It hit 2.99 here yesterday all over Tulsa. It wont last though. The big storm hitting the east coast will impact production..... Look for it to drop until Frankenstorm hits and then it should immediately jump back up.

Dunno Jeramie you could be right, but gonna go out on a limb here and say prices won't probably go up much before November 6th. Figure that if the lib we are stuck with now somehow gets another 4 years it won't be just real long that we will look back at gas at current prices as the good old days. I don't think it matters WHO gets into to office price of gas will continue to go up and up and up. WE AMERICANS have tolerated and ACCEPTED prices to go up and up. We continue to pay and go just as much as we always have. SO WHY would the price go down. I hate the price just as much as the next guy but very few people drive less these days because of gas prices. So I don't think we will ever see them go down and stay down.......
