Leo
Two separate times yesterday I had one of these things fall out of a tree in my backyard and land in my shirt collar! It's similar to getting stung by a jellyfish. Cortisone ointment and a benedryl helped. Here's a picture I took of one. They are called Tussock moth caterpillars. redkneck
First time I got nailed I was leaned over putting on a loose chain on a dirt bike when I was a kid. got the crap stung out of me, then looked and only seeing a caterpillar I started again, and of course got nailed again. I started looking at those things differently from that day forward. Here's what got me:

Leo
Mother nature sure has her cast of bad actors. Great pics Leo. Hope there are no ill effects from that critter Luckily I'm not allergic to them. I still ended up with a red rash and a headache that lasted until I went to bed that night. Ravin R10 man
Gypsie moth catapiller looks somewhat like that..will give you a rash if you come in contact with it..had to go to class this week to learn about them, and become an official inspector to help prevent them from migrating on our wood we ship.
