new hand gun

I had several and you could get different length barrels for it and change them out. The small frame guns had a sliky smooth trigger and some preferred them for pin shooting back in the 70's and 80's. Some of the triggers and sears were made from powdered metal molded under high heat and pressure which gave them a great feel but they didn't hold up well to extensive shooting. Quality was spotty anyhow and Dan Wesson went out of business. I would be careful with it as some were known to slip off full cock and discharge when shooting single action. The larger frame ones were better. I know of nowhwere to check the serial number. What model is it a 14 or 15 maybe? Here's a website describing the history and downfall of the company.
