whitetailfreak55
This year is my first year bow hunting for turkeys. Does anybody have any advise for it?
pointing_dogs_rule
1. Best to get a blind. 2. Place decoys at 10 yards 3. practice shooting a lot from your knees or sitting in a chair. 4. Be very patient. 5. learn the turkey kill zones (arrow placement). 6. Have fun. good luck to all the dog
whitetailfreak55
I've heard that a straight away shot is beat but not sure if broadside?

Emcgehee
bow for turkey I shot mine broadside. Right through the upper wing bone and straight into the boiler room. He was dead before I ran over to him!
dbHunterNY
also it helps to use a blind. newly tilled up and seeded fields are good destinations for turkeys and to put up a blind. "hit them low, let'em go.... hit them high, let'em fry": broadsided shoot them where Emcgehee said. full strut and facing away, send an arrow at the bird's butt hole. facing you, shoot the bird at the top of its beard.
