Emcgehee
I got in my blind well before dusk and waited till just after 6am to start calling. I heard a Tom gobbling like crazy, but he would not come in. After about 30 min. Of this, I packed up my decoys graves the Hoyt and decided to make a stalk. I moved about 80 yards closer, set up the decoys and tried it again. Nothing, so I packed up and moved again. I walked through the trees to keep hidden and jumped two coyotes. I could not get a shot on them! I moved to the en of a clear cut toward where I had heard him last and set the decoy in the open cut. I then moved back into the woods 25 yard from the decoys. I called a bit and heard him gobble again. I looked over and se a deer, do I grabbed my phone to video the deer for my son. Just then I looked over and there he was strutting right at me. I crawled back to my bow and waited I could barely see movement through the caesar do when he go to the center of the cedar, I drew back. When he cleared the cedar he clucked once and I let him have it. My first ever turkey hunt is in the books with a 23lb 11 1/3" beard and 3/4" spurs. The best part was the stalk with my bow!
