Looking to buy a black gun and ammo for it?

A friend of mine on another forum just posted this recently.

Just a quick word from a professional Firearms Class III Dealer, not for self or sales promotion

I you ever wanted or want to own an AR 15 for instance,, from most any maker, you should start looking and buy one now.The gun and ammo situation particularly on black guns and 223., 7.62x39, 45 acp ammo for instance is getting very very scarce and will be much more expensive. All of the 3 Major Wholesalers of mine have ZERO AR's of any flavor in inventory and have no idea when they will get more.I've never seen a buying frenzy like is happening now.Or ZERO Colts, among most other popular semi autos and long guns...None!

So my only purpose in posting this is a word to the wise: Buy what you want NOW.It will only become more of a scarcity and definitely much more expensive. Much worse than 2008, depending on the November election, naturally.

My spin on this, Have a $1000 to invest? A savings account might get 3%. An AR-15 nib? Just wait til 2013.

Just the opposite here.....AR's fell drastically from a minimum price of 1500$ for the cheapest kind to 700-800$. The colts are around $1000. I'd love to have one, but I just don't enjoy shooting guns enough to spend that kinda money on something I will never use for hunting.

Have been considering picking up a couple lowers here, money is kinda tight around here though.

Lot of speculation that if Obama gets another term, that is when his administration will attempt to pass more dramatic anti gun legislation. I think that to probably be accurate.

Those who are looking may want to check their wal mart stores at least to see their prices(granted their wal marts carry guns). Our local store here has a bushmaster that gander mountain also sells and wal mart's price is just over $100 lower. Gun counter here actually has a better selection than I can remember in a long time, guess they did not want to be left behind on the spike in gun sales in this country since 2008.

Our Wal-Marts recently started carrying more guns as well. They've always had some but as of late they've filled the cases & started carrying black guns, which they'd never done before.

I went to the National NRA convention last weekend. There was so many different AR or that type of gun there is wasn't even funny. Every gun manufacturer known to man is making an AR type gun. I think if a person wants one they can get one they just may need to look further than the standard, bushmaster, colt, rock river, dpms and so on.....

LOTS and LOTS of options.

I have been in the black gun game for many years and was able to get a jump on these rifles back when Y2K was supposed to end the world or at least cause issues with computers not being able to read the year 2000. Stripped AR lowers around here are going in the 2-250 range and a trigger group in the 50-75 range( don't forget you need a butt stock and a upper). Natchez, Midway, Sportsmans guide and Cheaper than dirt all have ammo for the AR's, AK's and .308 rifles. The new funny scare seems to be Zombies and ammo is made specifically for Zombies too.

AMM-2461 - .223 Remington Hornady ZOMBIE Max Z-MAX 55 Grain 20 Round Box 3240 FPS "Zombie Defense Ammunition"

Everyone who has concerns about the current Whitehouse administration should have ALREADY been prepared. You will pay a premium for ammo and guns now. 45cents a round for Lake City green tip 5.56/.223 ammo is about the norm. Maybe a little less for brass case 55gr FMJ. Steel case ammo in AK and AR form can be had for less. But I suggest having a broken case extractor on hand if you will be firing the steel case stuff. I have had some shoulders ripped off of cases and the wall of the cartridge left in the chamber when firing a AK type weapon. If this happens the gun is useless unless you have that tool.

I find it amazing that Wally world is selling black rifles. In down state NY. Walmart stopped selling guns about 5 or 6 years ago.

Was told by our local gun counter manager late last fall that wal mart put guns back into about 90 percent of the stores that they had took them away from and they were expanding what they were selling. Someone in wal mart management musta had a light bulb go off when gun sales in this country skyrocketed back in 2008, because from what I heard prior to Obama being elected was that wal mart would eventually end their gun sales, guess there was too much money to be made for them to continue with their plans.

Our local store has a sig AR, a couple different AR type .22 lr's and the bushmaster. They also have the ruger ranch rifle, they had the ruger prior to their cutbacks back around 2008, but I don't remember them having any black rifles back then.

On the topic of AR's anyone have any experience with bump feed stocks? Got to shoot one not too long back(Not my own), sure burns up the ammo($$$) in a hurry. Fun to shoot.

There might be some good sales on " Black Guns " soon. The secret service may be laying off 20 or so dedicated employees so the service won't need quite so many. LOL

O' Bamma says he'll have more flexability after the election. Frankly I hope he has a lot of free time to be as flexable as an ex. pres. can be. Maybe he will go back where he originally came from, if we can ever determine where that was!
