Turkeygirl
I picked up a Truglo Pro Series Magnum Gobble Dot sight for my mossberg yesterday....tired of the flimsy ones that came on my mossberg fro mthe factory. Any tips on removal of the old and installing of the new? I'd like to do this myself, guy at the shop told me to install them where the old sights were. Of course he said if any problems, just bring it in and they'll do it, but looks simple enough to me to do, only thing I'm wanting to make sure about is installing them in the correct spot and getting the old ones off. Turkeygirl
Well I pulled thefactory ones off and installed the new ones...had to put on the little pieces of rubber underneath, they didn't tighten enough without them but then they really fit snug! I put them in about the same place as the factory ones, don't know if there is any science behind placement or not. Will post a pic.
dbHunterNY
yea i had troubles previously using some of the tru-glo stuff... some model shotguns they fit real nice and others take some other tinkering like you did. as long as you've got a level rib it doesn't matter too much. father apart they are the more precise you'll aim too. we're talking shotguns though so it doesn't matter too much. wtnhunt
Put tru glo sights on the girls 870, it had no factory sights. No issues with the sights, I pulled the barrel off and bore sighted it down the barrel on a rest, got it real close.
