Strut10
Bank of America told Mc Millian Stocks they do not want their business. McMillan Fiberglass Stocks, McMillan Firearms Manufacturing, McMillan Group International have been collectively banking with Bank of America for 12 years. Today Mr. Ray Fox, Senior Vice President, Market Manager, Business Banking, Global Commercial Banking came to my office. He scheduled the meeting as an “account analysis” meeting in order to evaluate the two lines of credit we have with them. He spent 5 minutes talking about how McMillan has changed in the last 5 years and have become more of a firearms manufacturer than a supplier of accessories. At this point I interrupted him and asked “Can I possible save you some time so that you don’t waste your breath? What you are going to tell me is that because we are in the firearms manufacturing business you no longer want my business.” “That is correct” he says. I replied “That is okay, we will move our accounts as soon as possible. We can find a 2nd Amendment friendly bank that will be glad to have our business. You won’t mind if I tell the NRA, SCI and everyone one I know that BofA is not firearms industry friendly?” “You have to do what you must”he said. “So you are telling me this is a politically motivated decision, is that right?” Mr Fox confirmed that it was. At which point I told him that the meeting was over and there was nothing let for him to say. I think it is important for all Americans who believe in and support our 2nd amendment right to keep and bear arms should know when a business does not support these rights. What you do with that knowledge is up to you. When I don’t agree with a business’ political position I can not in good conscience support them. We will soon no longer be accepting Bank of America credit cards as payment for our products. Kelly D McMillan Director of Operations McMillan Group International, LLC 623-582-9635 www.mcmillanusa.com I believe Bass Pro credit cards are Bank of America. LETMGROW
This just became personal! I pulled out my credit cards and looked at them. Lo and behold my business credit card is BOA. This will be cancelled today with an unfriendly explanation of why. I won't break the bank but it will hurt them a little. They can go to grass. I ran into a situation much like this in the early 90's when I was pres. of our state snowmobile group. We had an offer from Maryland Bank NA to offer credit cards to anyone which would be imprinted with our logo and we would receive a stiepend for transactions. I discovered MBNA had just made a sizeable contribution to Sarah Brady's hand gun control organization. I squashed this offer immediately and we searched and found another company and found a like offer which we used. Apparently MBNA has made ammends as I know the NRA and they now have a relationship with each other. IT was a hot topic for awhile. Stinger-Hunter
Bank of American is the bank that allowed illegal aliens to get accounts without proper ID back in 2006-2008. Might still be doing it. I haven't banked with them at all - ever, and never will because of their stance on targeting illegal aliens for clients. Stinger-Hunter
The real dedication comes when they reverse their decision and people STILL choose not to bank with Bank of America. Reversing their policy doesn't mean they now support the 2nd amendment. It means they are making a business decision to keep their corporate commitment under wraps. Will never bank with them, period. brad dryden
What was one of the big kickers for me is when the government bailed out these banks a few years back and bank of america had a huge party with the money they gave them
