WHISKEYSWAMP
I didn't make it out until mid morning yesterday because sometimes you just need a little extra sleep. I got to my spot and basically walked about 70 yards from my truck and seen 3 gobblers walking/strutting across an open field to a large fence row. I did a sneak across a creek to set up on the same side. Once set up I gave a few yelps on the diaphragm call and had all three gobblers sound off. Just a few calls later and this bird came walking in at less than 30 yards. A short hunt. He's your typical two year old... 10" beard, 1 inch spurs, and weighs probably 20ish pounds. :gunsmilie:

Ohiobucks
I did the same thing yesterday morning, slept in, went out late, with one big exception - no birds seen or heard. Congrats on your bird!!

WHISKEYSWAMP
thanks everyone... I guess this quick hunt made up for the previous day of getting up at 4:00 in the morning to get to my spot, only to be outsmarted by a couple different toms... or maybe it was the same tom, hard to say. WHISKEYSWAMP
Turkey hunting is easy, isn't it? LOL some years are easier than others... I could have tagged out this week but saving a bird for a buddy coming down tomorrow in hopes of bagging his first bird... he's been getting frustrated over the years.lol I also want to take my 10 year old stepdaughter out to watch a hunt.
