92xj
Got some work done this weekend...A few weeks ago as soon as the snow was gone I got a nice mineral site set up. Now that the snow is gone and the ground has dried out some it was time to turn some dirt. Got about 90% done of what I wanted. Hopefully next weekend I can finish it up. This weekend soil samples will be taken from the field plots and the narrow woods plot and road plot will get some clover seed. Anyhow, here are some pics of what we are doing around the place....My toolsSide of field after a round or two with the disc. From the bottom of the field looking back up to the top, looking towards where the pic above was taken.Same as last picSide of drive into the propertyUpper section of wooded plot heading towards the top of the fieldLower section of wooded plot looking into the top of the field. From ladder stand in top of field over looking all but the left hand corner of field. shawn8157
Looks like alot of work, but sure looks like a nice piece of property. I may be weird but I enjoy the work involved in having a good place to hunt. The thing that pisses me off is those people that claim there's nothing to killing deer on a PRIME spot, your not a good hunter if you kill a deer on a food plot or any of the other excuses people come up with. I wish the average person knew just how much effort it takes to have a prime spot. Sorry its a rainy Monday, I guess I'm kinda cranky today. whitetailfreak55
I agree a lot of work and money and time goes into a food plot. I'm just starting to get mine ready buying seed and stuff
