Hunt or be Hunted
Some of you knew through facebook. Some didn't, For of those who didn't, Grandma wasn't doing too good... Her arms and legs were 3 times the size they should have been. So they put her in the hospital... She was in the hospital for about 3 weeks. Her Kidneys and livers were shutting down. And they put her on dialysis for the rest of her life. From there it all went all downhill. From anything from her heartbeat going up and down. And B/P going up and down, Or her B/S. Then Tuesday morning the doctor sat my grandpa and dad down top tell them that they need to look into putting grandma in a Nursing home for the rest of her life. And that broke my grandpas heart, Because he promised my grandma that he would never put her in a nursing home. About 5 am the next morning, Grandpa called dad and said that they put grandma in CCU. Belly is swollen up and she lays there and moans and groans Well God took care of her pain at about 6:55,Wednesday May 9th He took her home. Grandma left the confines of her earthly body at about 7 A.M. She made her journey just as we figured, singing praising, and looking forward to seeing her Momma. But more important then that she was so looking forward to kneeling at the precious feet of Her Savior, Lord and God JESUS. Grandma, I LOVE YOU! I will for a time miss the remark when I would walk up, "there is trouble!!!!" I know that I get to here it again when I enter those pearly gates for I know that you will be there waiting with that wonderful smile, and I get to here it again, "There is trouble again!" God has you wrapped up in his loving arms and you are able to go leaping and shouting again!! Sure would not pray you back to the pain and suffering that were enduring. So thankful for all the times I was able to help you go to Cracker Barrell, Go for a short walk.. Would not change a thing except maybe to have spent a little bit more time with you! But I wanted to take this moment to thank EVERYONE that has either sent letters, Cards, Texts, Made phone calls, Sent prayers, Sent flowers, Angels, ect. You made this difficult time so much easier! My family and I can not thank you guys enough!!! Not a prayer goes un noticed! I have the best friends ANYONE could ask for! I'm in so much shock! Thank you isn't even enough!! Grandma is in much a better place! I wouldn't wish her back on this ol world for nothin!! Edited May 14, 2012 by Hunt or be Hunted
redkneck
Wow Jeremy that's a touching story that I sure can relate to. Similar thing happened to me on 01. My grandmother was called home at 87 a few months after her kidneys began to fail and she refused to take dialysis. Wonderful to know she is no longer in pain and suffering, but I miss her so much she was a precious lady, but is so much better of now than in pain in this world, she's with Christ now. My condolences to your family,I know you miss her but you'll see her again soon.

It's tough to see people go slow and painful in a nursing home. Pray you all get through it as well as possible given the situation.

It's tough to see people go slow and painful in a nursing home. Pray you all get through it as well as possible given the situation. Well I wish I could say it was quick. She has had a problem the last 4-5 years. Started with tumors on her back to where she couldn't walk. After surgery she still couldn't walk. She had been bed ridden ever since. And she LOVED to sing. She had one heck of a voice on her! She wished that she could have sang again. But I know she's singing now!
